Project: Newark Community Street Team

Description

The purpose and goal of this project is to provide aesthetic and functional exterior upgrades to the existing building and property at 915 S. 16th Street in Newark, NJ. This includes existing windows, siding, cornices and trim, roofing materials, metal fascia, window guards, gutters/downspouts, etc. as required. The front entry porch and stairs facing S.16th Street, will be repaired, as required, and provided with new railings. New front door with hardware to be provided. New siding and painting of wood trim, eaves, fascia etc. A new rear porch and stairs off of the existing kitchen, will be provided. New security lighting will be provided in addition to improvements to the metal fencing at the S.16th Street facing property. New landscaping will be added to the entry sequence to help to elevate the experience of inhabitants and visitors, alike, entering into the improved facility.

Scope of Services Provided

NobleStrategy provided design, pre-construction and construction support services to the Newark Community Street Team (NCST) for the full historic renovation of their S. 16th St. Headquarters (Phase I) serving ex-offenders and providing rehabilitative counseling services.  Phase II of the project is being developed for interior renovations, bathrooms, kitchen and new office space in a converted lower level bringing, new power, heat and light for additional staffing.
